Baby Ryan’s Newborn Photo Shoot
I had the privilege of working with a cute client named Ryan in January 2020. His parents, who were visiting Chicago from Nigeria, wanted me to do a newborn photography shoot. Ryan’s parents told me that he had been fussy and crying a lot on the way to the studio.
You never know how a newborn photoshoot will go, as each one is a different experience. I keep my studio room warm to help babies fall asleep easier and feel comfortable, but still – you never know.
I took Ryan from his parents and wrapped him in a wool wrap, preparing him for his first set up. He quickly calmed down and became cooperative, making it easy to work with him. Time flew by.
Ryan’s parents were amazed at how quiet and sociable their baby had been during the newborn photo shoot, and they told me that they learned a trick from me to make him less fussy by keeping rooms a bit warmer.
When he was asleep, I tried to put Ryan in a froggy pose on a beanbag, but his mother was afraid that he would wake up during the rest of the shoot, and I was able to capture his beautiful smile that his parents will forever remember.
I enjoyed the newborn photoshoot with my client and his family. I will post pictures from his album.
