Touching newborn photo session with Beverly.
The newborn photo session with Beverly went absolutely amazing in my Chicago studio, although she was 5 weeks old at the day of the shooting. She didn’t fuss and had a pretty good long sleep, woke up for some snack and after that peacefully fell asleep again. I loved how chubby and soft she was. Her weight was around 10 pounds, and she was pretty flexible despite being 5 weeks old.
There was a funny moment when I tried to fix baby’s fingers while posing her bump up, but she totally resisted to follow me, and preferred to show her pointing finger and a thumb, which actually looked cute too on pictures.
It is at this photo session when I took one touching shot which I then was taking on all my future sessions, I called it “holding a baby”. It’s all about baby being in the center of the image and the parents’ hands holding her from the right and left sides. I think that this capture will be one of their favorite one, as it always remind them how teeny tiny was their baby at the beginning and how fast she grew up. This shot also has deeper meaning, because these hands will always take care of the baby, and support her forever.
This newborn session took about 3 hours, but hours passed so fast. Emmy, Beverly’s mom, and all her family absolutely loved the photos, and even referred me to their other friends. Thank you Emmy for trusting me your little precious girl! I enjoyed this session so much!
